Climate Action Core 4: Restore

Core #4: Restore

Many of us have heard about the “Code Red for Humanity” report recently released by the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Many of us are now aware of the consequences that will visit us if we continue along the status quo.

Climate change is a severe test, and how we respond will make all the difference.

Some will deny. Some will equivocate. Some will obstruct. Some will drag their feet. Some will sit on the fence. Some will hedge their bets. Some will ignore. Some will yawn. Some will go along their merry way. Some will give up. And some will roll up their sleeves.

What will you do?

There is still time to restore nature, but we must act NOW.

By acting now we can slow the growth curve of rising average global temperatures, flatten it, and then turn it downward. In the National Geographic documentary film Before the Flood, Dr. Piers Sellers (former Astronaut and Director, Earth Sciences Division, NASA/GSFC) explains in excerpt #1 and excerpt #2 how this process would work if humanity addresses climate change effectively.

If we work to realize the opportunity Piers explains, we will go from gloom and doom to bloom and boom. A boom of restoration.

So what’s it going to be? The answer starts with you.
